Restaurants are the primary data controllers for information provided by or about their guests in the context of that restaurant. Vocafy acts as a service provider (or “processor”) on the restaurant’s behalf for those interactions.
Vocafy may also retain and use certain guest information (such as name, preferences, or dining history) when a guest interacts with more than one restaurant using the same mobile phone number or contact method. This allows Vocafy to streamline the experience for the guest — for example, by remembering their name or preferences so they don’t have to repeat themselves at a different location or on a future visit.
Guests remain the owners of their personal data. Vocafy uses this data only to enhance service for the guest and does not share it between restaurants unless doing so facilitates the guest’s convenience in signing up for additional restaurants in a manner that aligns with their expressed preferences.
